Several drive that little stretch to hwy 25W wide open. It's only a matter of time before someone causes a wreck and it's happened several times before. The dork with the miata isn't going to be around too long I am sure. The engine will be gone driving it like an idiot wide open all the time. Back when I was young, you couldn't drive a loud clunker like that without getting pulled over. I guess it's a testament to how weak and inefficient our law enforcement has become. Comcast is the fastest most dependable service you can get around here, but it's also the most expensive with exception of satellite ISPs like Hughes Net. AT&T is terribly slow. I have heard that they lie to people about their service being fiber when it's actually DSL. AT&T may very well install fiber inside your house, but last time I checked, fiber isn't available to the masses here yet. That means they are hooking the new fiber they installed into their crummy DSL infrastructure, which gets typical DSL speeds, which are way lower than cable. While Comcast is currently the most reliable and fastest, their customer service isn't very good. When compared to other ISPs around here it's probably just as good. As long as your existing cabling is in good shape, or you have them run new cable, you will be fine. The only issues I have witnessed in my area are if they don't do a good job installing into the existing cable, or having to go around and around with them for problems between the pole and a house. Things like squirrels eating the lines, or lines being down. They don't get in a hurry to fix anything between a house and utility pole and they don't give an actual time when they show up. For example, they may tell you they will be there between 10AM and 7PM. I have witnessed them not show up as well, but I have also witnessed them show up on a holiday, so it depends on the technician. They will try to pressure you into bundles; last time I checked the most popular being the cable, phone, and internet bundle. They will tell you that each service is discounted if you get the bundle, but it's all BS because they rope you into an introductory price that usually increases after a set period of time. All in all, it's the best option here if you want speed and reliability. Once you get up and running, you probably won't need their customer service unless you decide to change your service for some reason, or if you have an issue with squirrels, or storms taking out your lines. There is an online page in your account to change services but I have never been successful doing that without having to call them because they always have to change stuff on their end. If you go to the Comcast retail store, the experience the sales staff has can vary. This matters especially, if you are a do it yourself type because the guidance and/or advice they give you could be completely false. For example, they may tell you that their starter internet kit is plug and play, which is completely false since a tech has to set up access on their end first. Take anything the sales staff tells you with a grain of salt because it's very rare that you will find one that knows what they are talking about.
